It is the responsibility of users to be aware of and comply with our terms and conditions as well as other relevant policies. The current version of our terms and conditions and other policies can be accessed through this website.
Terms and Conditions Contents
Completing an order constitutes a contract of sale between the customer and Four Chickens Pty Ltd where the customer has:
- Specified goods to purchase
- Provided a valid delivery address located within the United States
- Paid in full for the goods requested, shipping if applicable, and any other fees or taxes
- Received an order confirmation
When placing an order, the customer warrants that the details provided are accurate and they have the lawful right to use and share these details, including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number and payment details.
Without being held liable for any resulting loss or damages of any kind, Four Chickens Pty Ltd reserves the right to:
- Request identification, verification of payment or an alternative payment method
- Restrict the quantity of goods available for purchase
- Cancel an order or part of an order at any time, including after payment has been processed and an order confirmation sent to the customer
Orders may be cancelled by us for any reason including, but not limited to:
- Errors in customer details
- Invalid payment
- Inability to contact the customer by phone or email
- Errors in pricing, shipping costs or information provided about the goods
- Our inability to provide the product at the agreed price or in a timely fashion for any reason, such as changing suppliers, unavailability, limited stock etc.
- Any suspicion of fraud, unlawful conduct or failure to comply with these terms and conditions on the part of the customer
Where an order has been cancelled by Four Chickens Pty Ltd, we will notify the customer as soon as possible by email or phone and provide an opportunity to change the order or receive a full refund of the purchase price including shipping.
As orders may be shipped as soon as payment is processed, Four Chickens Pty Ltd does not agree to honour any cancellation or change to any order made by the customer, including change of delivery address, once the order has been completed.
In the case of a need to cancel or change an order, the customer must notify the company as soon as possible. During Queensland business hours, please call directly. Outside of business hours, the customer should send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or use the Contact Form, and should then also call at the resumption of business hours. Other channels of communication, for example social media, should not be used as they may not be monitored daily. If the order has already been shipped, the customer may be responsible for paying for postage to return the cancelled goods and/or to ship another order.
All prices are in US dollars (USD) and include relevant sales taxes.
Free shipping is provided within the USA to all 48 contiguous states. For express shipping and other locations, shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.
For international orders, these prices (in USD) represent our current prices excluding shipping.

All payments are in US dollars (USD).
All transactions will take place between the customer and Four Chickens Pty Ltd trading as Dine a Chook.
We reserve the right to change prices and product details at any time.
All orders ship from our warehouse in Solana Beach, California USA.
Shipping is free to the 48 contiguous US states (and Washington DC) via registered post. Standard shipping rates apply for all other addresses, with shipping fees calculated at check out.
We use a range of carriers, including USPS, UPS and FedEx. Customers will be provided with a tracking number specifying carrier via email after their order has shipped.
Standard shipping takes 3-7 business days on average, and longer for large packages, remote areas and addresses outside of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping times may be affected by holidays, weather events, industrial action and other disruptions beyond our control.
Four Chickens Pty Ltd takes no responsibility for shipping delays and will not be held liable for late or lost deliveries, including but not limited to any loss or damage resulting from delays or inaccurate delivery estimates.
For goods damaged in transit, it is the customer’s responsibility to notify Four Chickens Pty Ltd within 3 days of their receipt as per our Returns Policy (see below). Any transit-related claims made outside of the specified 3-day period will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All decisions made by Four Chickens Pty Ltd in these matters will be final.
Returns will be accepted where:
- We have sent the wrong item
- An order arrives damaged
- The customer has a right to a return protected by law
- We are otherwise at fault
Customers seeking a return or refund, regardless of whether Four Chickens Pty Ltd is at fault, must meet the following conditions. Where they do not, they waive any right to a return or refund except those protected by law.
- Four Chickens Pty Ltd is notified by the customer of the return request via email to email@example.com, our Contact Form or phone within 3 days of receiving the order (this includes for erroneous orders or damaged goods).
- The customer provides Four Chickens Pty Ltd with a valid proof of purchase, if requested.
- Four Chickens Pty Ltd grants approval for the return or otherwise rectifies the problem in a manner agreed by the customer (e.g. by sending a missing item, replacing a damaged item etc.).
- Where an item is to be returned, it must be sent at the customer’s expense via registered and insured post with a tracking number provided to Four Chickens Pty Ltd. We will not honour returns that are lost or damaged in transit unless they have been sent via registered and insured post.
For approved returns, customers may be offered:
- A full or partial refund
- Store credit
- An exchange
- A replacement
Refunds can only be provided in the same manner in which the original purchase was made, for example to the customer’s original credit card, bank account or PayPal account.
Where we are at fault, customers may also be refunded or given store credit for return postage paid and/or postage paid on the original purchase (if applicable). However, the refund of postage is not guaranteed and will be decided at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.
Under no circumstances will Four Chickens Pty Ltd honour returns or cover freight costs on returns that are sent back by the customer without prior approval from the company.
All decisions made by Four Chickens Pty Ltd regarding returns are final.
Please note that returns will not be actioned until any return shipments are received and that refunds may be delayed by bank processing times.
Four Chickens Pty Ltd, trading as Dine a Chook, offers a Manufacturer’s Warranty for our Chicken Feeders and Chicken Drinker components. This is a limited warranty offered against manufacturing defects. Exclusions and conditions apply as outlined below.
In the event of a product being found to have a manufacturing defect, we will replace the item free-of-charge and cover all transit costs.

Black Drum Drinkers (excluding outlets)
The following exclusions apply to all Dine a Chook guarantees, including the Manufacturer’s Warranty:
Rodent damage is not covered in any form. Our Feeders are designed to help make the chicken coop rodent resistant by keeping feed off the floor and making it more difficult to access food in the Feeder. We make no claims that our Feeders are rodent proof or will eradicate rodent problems. If you have rodents in the chicken coop, it is your responsibility to deal with the problem. The only way to remove rodents is with a baiting or trapping program.
Breakage of the rear mounting hooks is only covered where the customer can prove that the following conditions were met:
- The unit was mounted according to instructions
- The unit was mounted using the two steel brackets supplied by Dine a Chook
- Weight was distributed evenly between the top and bottom mounting hook
- Where mounted on wire mesh, a Wire Mesh Mounting Kit and the Dine a Chook brackets were used
- The unit was not inadvertently knocked or damaged by livestock (not including poultry) or machinery
Outside of 3 months of purchase any postage costs incurred by Four Chickens Pty Ltd in replacing units with rear-mounting hook damage are the responsibility of the customer, even where the above conditions were met.
UV damage is covered by the Manufacturer’s Warranty with the exception of any fading, colour loss or change of colour.
Acts of God are not covered by the Warranty.
Damage resulting from livestock (not including poultry), machinery or human action/inaction is not covered by the Manufacturer’s Warranty.
Damage sustained through standard daily use as per the product instructions is covered by the Warranty. However, failure to correctly install or maintain the unit, mishandling, negligence or using the unit in a manner not intended or recommended by the manufacturer will render any guarantees or warranties invalid.
Breakage and damage incurred during, or as a result of, installation are not covered by warranty.
Making a Warranty Claim
In order to activate any product warranty, the customer must:
- Make any claims within 2 weeks of the defect/damage becoming apparent.
- Notify Dine a Chook (Four Chickens Pty Ltd) of the nature of the defect or damage by phone, email to firstname.lastname@example.org or via our Contact Form.
- Provide Dine a Chook (Four Chickens Pty Ltd) with photographs or any other requested evidence in order to prove that the use of the product and nature of the defect/damage meet warranty conditions.
- Provide Dine a Chook (Four Chickens Pty Ltd) with a valid proof of purchase demonstrating that the product is still within warranty.
- Negotiate with Dine a Chook (Four Chickens Pty Ltd) to rectify the problem. The customer may be offered a replacement, repair, refund or store credit, depending on the nature of the problem.
- Follow the returns procedure outlined in the Returns section of this document if a return of the faulty product is requested by Four Chickens Pty Ltd.
Warranties will only be honoured where the customer meets the conditions outlined in these terms and conditions. All decisions made by Four Chickens Pty Ltd regarding warranty claims are final.
Outside of our warranty period?
We proudly stand behind the quality of Dine a Chook Chicken Feeders and Drinkers. Should one of our units be outside of the warranty period and develop a fault, please contact us. If we can see that the unit has been looked after and used according to instructions, we will certainly consider your claim.
In the case of any claim granted outside of the warranty period, the customer is responsible for covering all shipping costs.
You, the user or customer, accept all responsibility for the manner in which products or services offered by Four Chickens Pty Ltd are used, and for complying with any relevant laws and/or regulations, both local and international, affecting their use.
In no event will Four Chickens Pty Ltd, and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries and affiliates, be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental or special consequential damages, to property or life, including but not limited to actions, claims, losses, liabilities or expenses including legal fees, whatsoever, arising out of or connected with the use or misuse of our website, website content, advice or products, whether used as intended or not, or of omissions or negligence on our part.
If the limitation of liability is not permitted by law in the state where you reside, and these laws are found to apply to your claim, the liability of Four Chickens Pty Ltd is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Product details, including specifications, images, prices and features, may not be an accurate representation of the actual product and in some cases products may not be immediately available to order.
All advice and instructions are intended to be general in nature and may not be applicable to your unique circumstances. Under all circumstances customers are advised to consult a professional for personalised advice.
The customer should not rely on any dimension, specification, instructions or advice provided on the site or by Four Chickens Pty Ltd generally, as such information may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated and/or not applicable to your particular situation. Four Chickens Pty Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability for the accuracy of any such information and the customer assumes the sole risk or any use and/or reliance thereon.
Except where prohibited by law, by using this website and/or purchasing our products, you indemnify and hold harmless Four Chickens Pty Ltd and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of your use of our site, information provided by the site and/or products, whether you followed the provided instructions or not, or your violations of these Terms and Conditions.
Four Chickens Pty Ltd reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions, as well as any other relevant policies, at any time in any way permitted by law. Alterations and amendments will be effective from the time of their publication by Four Chickens Pty Ltd on this website or through any other appropriate means.
We also reserve the right to correct or change information offered on our website at any time without prior notice or notification.
Products and services: Any and all products and services offered by Four Chickens Pty Ltd in the course of conducting business, whether provided by the company or by an external entity on our behalf. Products include, but are not limited to: chicken feeders, drinkers and other goods available for purchase. Services include, but are not limited to: this website; any other website owned, operated or used by Four Chickens Pty Ltd (e.g. the Dine a Chook blog, social media platforms); any scripts or applications that operate as part of these websites including those belonging to third-party platforms (e.g. shopping cart, PayPal, chat-bot etc.); any content or advice made available through the website, blog, mailing list, by download, in print or any other medium, including product listings, instructions and product packaging; and any contact between Four Chickens Pty Ltd or its representatives and any user or customer, regardless of the form or platform.

For the purpose of these terms and conditions, a user may be a mailing list subscriber, a competition entrant or any visitor, transient or otherwise, to this website or any other website owned, operated or used by Four Chickens Pty Ltd, or any other person who makes contact with Four Chickens Pty Ltd through any other means.
Customer: Any user who enters into an agreement to purchase a product by completing an order through the website, on the phone or in person.
Completing an order: Placing an order by submitting a list of products to purchase, making a valid payment, providing a valid delivery address and receiving and order confirmation from us.
