Which chicken waterer do I need?
- 1 gallon waterer with twin cups: comfortably waters 6-8 hens and will service up to 12, and two birds can drink at the same moment.
- 1 gallon waterer with one cup: the same body with a single cup, for 6-8 hens or a pen where birds drink one at a time.
- Twin cup two pack and single cup two pack: two complete waterers in one order, for a bigger flock or a second coop, placed in different locations so birds have easy access at all times. Costs less than buying two singles.

How many waterers, and how big?
An average hen drinks around a pint (500 ml) a day, and up to a quart in hot weather. Allow a pint per bird per day: for 2 hens a 1 gallon waterer lasts approximately 4 days, and with 8 hens it will need checking daily. The single cup waterer suits 6-8 hens; the twin cup comfortably waters 6-8 hens and will service up to 12. Depending on the size of your coop, consider two waterers in different locations so birds have easy access.
Why the water stays clean

Installation
Every waterer comes with steel brackets and screws for wood or metal. Mount it so the cups sit at eye level for your smallest bird. Always monitor for the first few hours so you can ensure the smallest bird in the flock can access the water in the cup; if not, lower it slightly.
